A very versatile, hard-wearing waterproof jacket that keeps you dry and removes sweat very effectively.

The Paramo Men’s Helki Jacket is made using Analogy® waterproof fabric, with an ergonomically designed back and 180° shoulder and arm articulation so you're kept covered and comfortable without hindering your movement.

Its unrivalled hood design and intelligent pocketing give you the comfort and practicality you need in all hill environments.

  • Adjustable hood with firm but shape-able peak gives you a precise fit with or without a hat, without compromising vision
  • 180° shoulder and arm articulation avoids jacket pulling or riding up Pump Liner® reinforcement at shoulders and centre back for extra protection when carrying a pack and in heavy rain
  • Ergonomically designed back, plus curved tail
  • Waist drawcord with hidden cords
  • Two-way front zip with internal storm flap
  • Cuffs easily push up for cooling, with Pump Liner® to reduce moisture build-up
  • Large OS map pocket on chest, with internal smaller mesh pocket
  • Two handwarming pockets
  • Hem drawcord prevents rucking when load carrying
Soft, strong, silent and durable, Nikwax Analogy® fabric mimics the action of mammal fur, directing water away from you whilst protecting insulation to keep you warm and dry. Its two-layer construction traps still air to keep you warm - the outer layer provides Directional water-repellency while the Pump Liner actively pushes liquid moisture away from your body keeping you dry from precipitation, perspiration and condensation. It works very effectively even in high humidity or very cold conditions.

Incredible, 01 November 2016
By Dom (Glasgow)
This is a brilliant jacket. I've owned many Gortex and more recently a polatech Neoshell. All of which I thought were great.
In cooler conditions (as a very rough guide 8-12C), they are the best jacket I've ever warn.
Excellent weather protection, wind and rain. I've worn it cycling and on all weather but snow on the Scottish hills.
It has a wide range of temperatures but for most conditions you just need a tech top. It is relatively compact and light (there are lighter jackets.)
If you live in Scotland, the Lakes or the North you need one of these in your life. It will replace so much other kit.
The hood does not offer so much visibility as stiffer Gortex but conversely it does offer more protection.

Good - but leaks with rucksack, 09 July 2016
By Rubaga (Nottingham)
I like this jacket in general, it's warm and breathable and allows freedom of movement. I did find it waterproof until I walked in heavy rain with a rucksack when I found the water came through the jacket at the contact points with the rucksack, notably the shoulders. This led to wet arms, though the body remained fairly dry... And that's a problem. Will try additional waterproof spray around the shoulders but this shouldn't happen with a jacket this price.

Well thought out jacket, 03 February 2016
By cuberider54 (Gosport)
There's no such thing as the jacket that does everything. But this comes close. Waterproof. Yes. Windproof. Yes. Good ergonomic fit. Yes. Warm. Yes. Just pick the right baselayer and away you go. Highly water resistant outer layer, which is soft to the touch, satin like and quiet. Warm inner lining to repel what, if any, moisture gets through the outer layer. Five poppers on the storm flap so you can vent through the front zip without the jacket billowing open. The waist hemcord IS there, you just have to find it, as the adjusters are hidden in pockets within the hem. Sensible length arms. Superb hood design. Fit is true to the size guide. I just wish Paramo had released this a long time ago. It would have saved me a lot of time and money on hard shells. A little on the heavy side, but you are, in effect, getting a waterproof jacket under which you can shed a normal layer.

Excellent Jacket, 21 January 2015
By vincenso (Bradford)
I have had my eye on a Paramo Jacket for a while. Glad i bought an Helki Jacket, nice fit not baggy and shapeless like some. not tested in heavy rain yet just light snow.
I got mine for under £200 through price match, so very happy.

paramo helki, 11 December 2014

Just a personal opinion. Best hillwalking jacket ever owned. Tried most of what's available. Even beats the Alta 2. If you can only buy one jacket then get this one.
