Info
One of the most technically advanced mountaineering jackets ever, the Paramo Aspira has been designed specifically for harsh environments.
The Aspira offers excellent protection against cold and wet conditions, yet is versatile enough to be worn on hotter days in the mountains.
The jacket also allows total temperature control with lots of ventilation, and is now 25% lighter in lining weight than previous incarnations.
In the heat, the multi-adjust cuff design allows sleeves to be rolled up for cooling, whilst adjustable venting with the unique upper arm vents allows you to stay fresh.
In the rain, feel the protection from the unique 2" drip skirt and scooped tail and handwarming pockets, and get complete weather protection via the fully adjustable, wired roll-away hood.
If you want a jacket for temperamental temperatures, then look no further than the Aspira.

Best Waterproof Jacket!, 08 August 2011
By Fee (West Lothian)
This is a big investment so shouldn't be taken lightly. Despite already having a pair of Paramo waterproof trousers, I hesitated about spending so much on a jacket. I wish I'd gone for it sooner - it's superb!
It's quiet with next to no rustle, unlike many other waterproof fabrics. Even with the hood up and pulled tight against wind and rain, I find it easy to hear what my walking companions are saying.
The hood and neck have plenty of adjustment so it's easy to get a snug, draught-free fit.
Unlike other waterproof jackets, including Gore-Tex ones, my Paramo keeps its pockets dry so the contents are safe and dry, and I've got somewhere warm and dry for my hands.
Great underarm ventilation although, even though I've worn this jacket in "summer", I've never felt too hot as it's very breathable yet keeps out the wind.
There are padding strips down the back to help cushion your back when carrying a pack and I find they help with ventilation, too.
I can't praise this jacket enough and would recommend it to anyone looking for a top quality, hard wearing and top performing waterproof jacket.

A Perfect Jacket, 06 January 2011

I love this jacket, I've used it for 10 years or so and it still looks like new and keeps me dry like new. It's warm, comfortable, soft, quiet (ie. no rustling), zero condensation, isn't affected by tears or damage and is very hardwearing anyway. It really is as good as folk say it is! Paramo - once you try it you'll never choose another brand!

this is my new choice of jacket, it looks and feels great.after hearing alot of people go on saying how good the paramo gear was in the wet and cold,i thought ,what the hell i'll give it a go,well im plenty impressed, the jacket is very waterproof and warm ,but will keep you cool as well. i opted for this jacket as i do alot of walking, cycling and climbing, and i did not want pockets at the bottom, but the other jackets are just as good. the price did not put me off,its an investment i hope it will last me 10 years. so go on treat yourself ,i have other paramo clothing and the quality is very good.
