A large, roomy and adaptable tent made for relaxing family getaways.
The Outwell Montana 600P is a spacious and comfortable tent that will give you many unforgettable family moments outdoors.
It has space to sleep six campers in two bedrooms, with plenty of headroom, a large living room (with side porch and panorama front) and ample space for relaxing or socialising. The inner bedroom tent can be split into two bedrooms, or half can be removed to give you even more living or storage space.
Don't get in a tangle - 'OGR' system keeps the guylines stashed tidily when they're not needed
Stay stable - 'OWS' Wind Stabiliser system uses hook and loop fastenings for the flysheet and poles to keep the whole tent stable whatever the weather. 'OPS' Power Stability System uses rigid steel poles, also giving increased headroom and internal space
Relax in comfort - 'OSG' Sealed Ground system uses a fully sewn-in groundsheet to protect from dirt, draughts and bugs
Pitching is easy - 'OEP' Easy Pegging system uses three types of different colour-coded pegs for different points
Roll it, don't lug it - trolley carry bag makes it easy to transport
- Convenient side porch entrance also gives extra shelter
- Fully seam-sealed flysheet for maximum protection from the elements
- Full mesh doors at side and front let air flow through but stop insects from getting in
- Detachable bathtub groundsheet for the side porch for easy cleaning
- Large tinted panorama windows (with zip-up curtains) block sun glare, give you privacy or give you a great view out
- Organiser pockets in the living area and mesh pockets in the inner tents let you keep small items safe and handy

Montana 6, 17 August 2016
By John (West yorkshire)
Had this tent, the first Montana 6 for over 10 years. It's still rock solid, and takes high winds no problem. We were camping on a windy cliff top, when the UK felt the brunt of hurricane Elaine... It was scary but we went through it no problem!!! Most of the field didn't , and it was reassuring to see other Montana 6 tents withstood it. Great design worth more!!!
If you want a family tent to protect you and your kids for YEARS & YEARS!!! Montana 6, it's a no brainer!

We are seasoned campers and use the tent for 4x short breaks and 2x long breaks . We have used other tents over the past 25 years but this is our favourite so far. Easy to put up. brilliant layout. Perfect in everyway. It needs two adults to put it up, but it really is so simple and takes about 30 minutes from start to finish If you can afford the price and want space , Easy to pitch, then this should be one you consider . Its heavy but the bag has roller wheels, We used to use quick pitch tents with bendy light weight poles but never again this is the best tent on the market for us Go to the GO-OUTDOORS SHOPS and view one...

We purchased this tent as an 'upgrade' from a 3-man tent that we'd used pre-family. Our first-born is now 7 and this will probably see us out of family camping trips! Points to be aware of (though we would still choose this over any other family tent): 1) It's hard (not impossible, but hard) to put this up on your own. Mainly because it's big so you'll need to put pegs in to hold things, run round the other side, reposition etc and run back to fix the pegs several times. However, if you're staying for a few days, it's worth it!
2) Even if there are 2 or more old-enough people putting this up it still takes a while (though there's a YouTube video showing it up in 10 mins this doesn't include time spent choosing your space, working out where the front is etc). So we still use our 3-man tents when we only camp for 2 nights. But you might be better at putting up tents than we are!
Final thoughts- worth buying the front extension - useful when you need to cook in the rain- & carpet - great for general warmth in the living area. The tent has plenty of windows, ventilation and shades so is fine in all weather.

Purchased the tent from Go Outdoors, Coventry.
Researched for almost 8 months and after seeing the 600p up in the store, decided to buy on the day along with foot-print, porch and roof protector.
Finally got to use the tent On Spring Bank Holiday and boy were we glad we bought it! Took 2 people 35 mins to erect, but I think with a bit of practice, one person can do it in 30 - 45 mins.
Family absolutely loved it! This was the first of many practice runs before we head to France and we couldn't fault it. The tent attracted admiring looks and positive comments.
We experienced heavy rain the first night, clear blue sky's with beaming sun for two days and strong winds over night. The tent felt positively safe through it all and well vented in the sun to keep it cool.
There was so much space we used the main part for dining and the porch for relaxing in the sun.
Simple to dismantle and pack, just do the reverse. We're first time campers and found it a doddle to erect and dismantle. First time roll up into bag.
Small cosmetic gripe, is that GO don't do the 600p porch to match the finish on the tent. Just a little thing! ;-)

Bought this tent last week from Chester store. Fantastic tent been looking at it for a while with the zip up curtains, side porch is very handy and great view out, we go to watch superbikes and as the weather was rubish we were pitched so we could watch from the tent when it was raining. Upgrading from a higear corado 6(which I had just ripped right down the side putting it up, hence buying this in a hurry lol) so this has a few nice touches to bring it up to date. Strengthening bits on the guy lines that afternoon to the poles really steady the tent in the wind.
