Info
*Outwell use the official European-wide system to test, measure and label their sleeping bags. A computer-controlled dummy, similar in size and shape to an average human body, is placed inside a sleeping bag and monitored in a temperature-controlled climate chamber. EN13537 Standard tests give a range of comfort levels, different for men and women.
The terminology they use is:
Tcomfort • lower comfort limit in standard use (woman)
Tlimit • lower limit when curled up in standard use (man)
Textreme • lowest extreme temperature for survival (woman)
Tmax • upper comfort limit without over heating (man)

Snuggly and warm, 04 August 2011

Soft to touch and very comfortable. Excellent quality and a decent size which easily compacts down into its carry bag. Suitable for Summer camping but a little expensive I feel for a sleeping bag.

Comfortable, warm and just the job!, 09 May 2011

After spending a few weekends freezing cold (even in the summer) in sleeping bags that we bought from halfords, I decided to look for new ones.
Did a bit of research and liked the sound of the Outwell 1900 as it has an in built pillow, which is useful when space is tight and can't sqeeze in a pillow (on a motorbike).! I have used the bag a few times in recent weeks and must say that is it fanatastic, soft to touch, spacious, very comfortable and overall very warm. Also it packs down to a good compact size in the stuff bag.
If two bags are purchased they can be zipped together, which is a bonus!
I liked this sleeping bag so much that I have just bought for my daughter in law as a birthday present, she loves it!
I would recommend anyone to buy this bag, it fab!

Comfortable but cold, 27 April 2011

We bought these sleeping bags to go camping for the first time at Easter and the weather was hot but dropped cold at night. The sleeping bags are very comfortable and soft, however, we were all freezing and had to put layers of clothes on at night.
Go Outdoors told us we had not understood the temperature indicator on the bag information and were reluctant to swap them but they did so eventually when we pointed out that the information was misleading.
These sleeping bags are fine for summer camping however they are no good on cold nights.
