Great buy - worth the money, 26 April 2014
By Ali (North East)
We did quite a bit of research before buying this bag and it paid off. We are very pleased with this bag. Yes it's expensive but if you are going to use it well worth the extra money. Our view was we could spend £100 and get one that is ok or spend more and get one that is great. We tried a Little Life one and liked it but found this one so much comfier with the extra straps and options for adjustment. It does depend on what you want from a carrier though. If you are just walking on generally flat terrain, for only short walks or wanting to use it about town then yes the smaller and cheaper carriers would do you fine. However we wanted to be able to go off on hikes so we wanted something a bit more heavy duty. This is comfy on the hips, with a waist belt and strap across your chest. It has lots of options for adjustment so you can make it fit your build. The sun shade is a great addition that comes out of top pocket. We bought the waterproof cover too which has already been put to good use. Our little girl loves it - other people said about their babies smiling and giggling and I thought they were exaggerating but her first walk she giggled away! She is also very chatty - in her babble - whilst we are walking continuously looking around. She falls asleep in it and appears very comfy. We have only had it a few weeks so not gone to far yet - but I carried her for a 6.5 mile walk and found it comfy. I am 5 8 and my little girl is light but sure it will be fine as she gets bigger. Could do with a mirror in the pocket to see if she is ok/ asleep/ awake etc when out walking on own but most of time with someone else so it's fine. I feel she is comfy and secure in this, as well as being well protected from sun or rain!. There is some room for coat/ blanket/ snack in bottom pocket but not loads for carrying too much. I did think we might go for the one with extra bag but then after speaking to someone else they said when you have the baby in it that's enough and more than likely someone else with you and they can carry the picnic and so far we agree!

So many great features make this carrier a pleasure to use. It has be well thought out. The harness is really easy to use, and baby is very secure once fastened inside. There is loads of storage space and plenty on handy pockets on the belt and bag straps. Sun shade just slides out to deploy. Rain cover works well and is a must buy optional extra, also keeps the wind off.

We bought this pack July 2012 having done a bit of research into the best alternatives. It's quite pricey, but if you're looking for something that you can take out on decent hikes regularly, this is great value for money. Elise loves it and it's very comfortable for mum and dad! The Premium adds a day sack, but really not necessary, there's a lot of space in the pack. Spend the extra money on the rain cover, and optional extra that's alreay comingin handy this summer!

Having done a lot of research into baby carriers we went along to GoOutdoors to try the boy in the Deuter Kid Comfort III. And, as expected, he loved it and so did I.
However, having spotted the Poco on the shelf I thought it prudent to have a quick look.
There are certain features on this bag which make it so much more user friendly. The sun shade is so simple, quick and easy to deploy, the straps all work perfectly and are easy and quick to adjust if you are sharing the pack with another, the dribble pad is a great idea and by far the most important factor..... the boy loves it!
This pack offers a more comfortable seating position for you child, allowing full 360 views whereas the Deuter head restraint blocks the view to the sides and rear.
My son is always happy to see the pack and has miles of smiles when he is in it. It is so comfortable he even falls asleep in it.
Don't be shy, give it a try!
