Better than camelbak, 28 January 2015
By Jordan (Peterborough)
Brought this product having previously owned a camelbak and it is a massive improvement. The hard back makes it sit well in my bag rather than it slouching over, the handle makes it really easy to fill and the magnetic sternum strap keeps the tube where its needed rather than it hanging loose.

Osprey 3 litre water bladder, 11 September 2014
By SarahB (Melton Mowbray)
Absolutely brilliant. I relied on this hydration system daily during a 3 week hike and it was fantastic - no leaks and fitted snugly in my backpack. Easy to fill and the opening is large enough to fill the bag with ice. Superb.

Good quality, but needs a tweak or two., 25 November 2013
By KINDERgates (Sheffield, South Yorskshire)
I recently bought the Osprey Talon 33 sac, and as I needed a new hydration bag/tube, I decided to go for the dedicated model by Osprey.
All in all, I like the product; like their sacs, Osprey's hydration bag has a feel of quality about it, and the wide, flat profile, kept in place by a hard rear plate, prevents it from instantly turning into a "tube" when you fill it, unlike my previous Platypus bags. This flat bag then slides neatly into an external pouch between the back and the inside of the sac. The bite valve, again, feels like it will last, although the volume of water delivered is a bit disappointing. The magnetic attachment to the clip on the sternum strap is very powerful - in fact, it comes with stern warnings that it will probably stop your pacemaker, should you have one, and will mess with your compass and mobile phone too!! Anyway, it holds the two component parts together pretty impressively.
I would definitely like about 4 inches or so more length on the tube; I've found, over years of using hydration tubes 2 or 3 times a week, that the best routing for me is to loop the tube under my arm, then up to the sternum strap, and given that the bag and sac are specifically made to work together, it's a bit on the short side (and this is one of the smallest of Osprey's Serious Sacs (not an official Osprey term...). One thing to watch for is that there are two loops from which it's possible to suspend the hydro bag in its pouch; a hard plastic loop that keeps the screw-off cap attached to the hydro bag, and a soft, silky loop of ribbon. I managed to accidentally catch the ribbon in the cap's thread, which might possibly compromise the seal. I think this is the intended suspension loop, so that's the one I use.
All in all, then, a very nicely made piece of kit, which could just do with a bit more tubing for my taste, and should last quite a while.

Taste Free!, 30 October 2013
By TomBeany (York)
I recently bought one of these to replace my wife's hydration bladder which wasn't working well at all. I cant remember the make of the last one. But I had one of these osprey hydraulics and they work great. They fit perfectly in our packs and are unobtrusive. Its amazing that on first use they are completely taste free!! There are no strong taste of plastic at all!

The bladder is extremely easy to use. Fill it up and go! And easy to clean with the large opening. The magnetic mouth piece is useful also so you can attach the mouth piece to your packs sternum strap.

I would highly recommend this product.
