I have had one of these for several years and it still looks as good as the day I bought it. Like most people I've had many map cases over the years and all of them split, leaked or just plain annoyed me.
The Ortlieb case is A4 rather than the shape of a standard map case, but the extra wiggle room can come in handy especially if you ever print your own routes. The stuff it is used for is very clear and ages well with no cracking, and the seal at the top has never leaked for me yet.. quite honestly I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this ahead of any other map case.
