I bought this item due to the very light weight and compact size, ideal for wild / hiking camping.
An added bonus is the waterproof bag allowing me to attach it to the outside of my rucksack.
As others have mentioned the self inflate isn't great, but neither are many other models/brands. It didn't take much lung work to get it fully inflated.
Surprisingly comfortable for such a thin mat.
The self-inflate is poor - you need to add most of the air yourself which is not a big deal as it doesn't take much air. This leads to the comfort level - on a hard surface this provides minimal comfort. I will go back to using a foam mat which was quarter of the price and provides more support. Shame as I was hoping for an improved and more portable product.
Light, small and packs down to a good size that's perfect for wild camping. Outter bag is waterproof with slits so you can attach to the outter of a rucksack. Only bad point is the self inflating doesn't work as good to a satisfactory level and you do need to add air yourself but, with it been small it's not too much of a problem. I recommend it plus it's a great price.
Really enjoyed using this, the 3/4 length is perfect for keeping the pack light and still keeps me warm from the ground. Can't fault it so far.
The size/comfort/value ratios are great here. Packs away very light and compact for backpacking requirements and provides a good level of comfort and insulation from ground temperatures overnight. The shorter length didn't seem to be an issue in terms of comfort at all.
Fantastic bit of kit. Bought this for my wife for wild camping (she's 5 ft) after being used to full inflatable beds, she loved it! packs up super small and the dry bag is an added bonus!
I tried it for one night (5ft 9) and found it perfect. will be getting one for myself when my my full length bulky one dies
I originally bought the thicker and longer oex sleeping mat. I was very happy with that product but it was too large to fit in my motorcycle luggage. I swapped it for this product and was worried the thin profile wouldn't offer much comfort.
I have now used this product over 2 weeks, 11 times in 11 countries at in varying conditions. I'm happily surprised it makes a huge difference to comfort levels. On cold ground it effectively insulates you, in the heat it doesn't cause too much sweating and usually when I camp I wake up frequently but with this I slept straight through. Build quality seems good. I'm just hoping the seams last so fingers crossed. I would definitely recommend this product.
Touring round-the-world by bicycle, I've used this on top of a Thermarest Z-lite sol and this combination works in any temperature with reliability. I wouldn't use on it's own under 5c.
Wicked piece of kit, light weight, packs down small and provides a good nights sleep

Compact, light-ish and pretty robust. Good value for money. I use it inside a bivvy bag and it works really well. As comfy as these things ever are but it takes the edges off the lumps and bumps.
So bought this product to save space when travelling round world. Started using in NZ as camping extensively. Worked well for about a week and then i was woke in the middle of the night to a really strange noise. Turns out it was the mat-i hink the outside has come unsuck from the middle. I now have a massive air bubble that appears, which is now the size of a qtr of the mat whenever i use the mat. Its uncomfortable to sleep on as it either pushes me off the mat or i have to let out air which makes he rest of the mat deflate meaning it offers no support. Really not happy and have tried to find a complaints dept for OEX to refer to but am yet to suceed hence putting this review on.
Very good quality build. Easy to inflate. OK comfort level. You can get lighter full length matts but they cost more than double the price of this. Would recommend for DofE, Scouts and casual one off backpackers.
I bought this in an aim to reduce my pack size/weight for backpacking. Having tried it out a number of times I am really happy with it. It is a well designed product that is amazing value! I would fully recommend it.
I've carried this for about 9 months now, sleeping on it for 4 weeks solid whilst out in Corsica, and on the GR20 route. Been used in the woods and mountains of the UK in all seasons now, and I have no complaints. Material is thick enough that im not as scared as if I was using a thermarest neo model. Pack size is excellent and the dry bag provided makes it easy to pack and is infact a great dry bag. I would never use a full length mat after using this and for the price, it has competed with mats I've used that are twice the price. Had it down to -4 with no cold spots below me.
Majorly impressed!
Claimed to be 440g. Weighted it on digital scales and it barely scraped below 500g, so a whole 60g heavier than claimed weight. Add in the storage bag , straps and repair kit and total weight is 100g more than claimed.
owned one for 3 months now, used all over the place. lightweight, comfy and long enough, (i'm 5' 7'').
all in all a great mat, even down to -5 c, o.k. it does need a little puff to fully inflate, but so do most of it's competition.
This is a beauty 3/4 mat, super small pack size that fits snuggly into its own dry sack. A great non slip section that stops you sliding about. Stayed inflated even on an icey damp spring night.
I won one of these on a raffle when i got home i took it out to have a look and was disappointed with the size it was way too short for me but was surprised when i took it camping it was very comfortable even though my legs where sticking off the end.
Amazing comfort for such a small item, I'd never go without now. Foam is dead to me.
This little thing fits happily in a cage cable tied to the fork leg on my mountain bike.
The bag it lives in is theoretically waterproof.
The reason I say it's flawed is that my first one started to deflate during the night after a few months of having it (admittedly I did use it a lot....) so I returned it &..... The replacement has recently started doing the same! I cannot find a leak anywhere to use the included patch kit on however! (It must be tiny).
I once had to wait 3.5 hours at Castle Cary train station in sub zero temps at night. Rolled this thing out on a bench & the amount of warmth it traps & returns into your back is amazing. I was like some kind of fancy homeless dude feeling sorry for the wealthy commuters freezing their asses off in their work attire.
