So far so good, 10 April 2017
By Redwood (Essex)
Needed new boots to replace old worn out pair. So many on the market, but l was on a budget. Felt very comfy straight way, even with my poor old flat feet. Jet washed the patio in them at the weekend, no leaks and no damp feet. Hill walking this weekend we see how we get on with them, will keep you posted. So far so good..
good enough for me, 27 January 2017

I am no hexpert. Get that in first. I bought a pair of these in my first time at goutdoors four years ago. Spent about an hour walking up and down ramps in the shop in various boots trying to find a reason why I should disregard these feelings sooo comfortable and instead pay two or three times as much for a premium brand. I'm not a big hiker though. Maybe 5-6 outings a year and 2 scout checkpoint events, but I do use them on city breaks if the weather looks dodgy as they are just really comfortable. Anyhow last year I used then while renovating a house and well I think I used them improperly and effectively broke them. Tore some of the outer fabric, sole started coming away probably due to contortions under floors or perhaps chemical exposure. Either way, they are really only good for gardening now - but really good and still so comfortable. With an event coming up it was time to buy a new pair and I started looking at the high street brands again. Then I tracked down the latest iteration of these. Two days later they are on my feet and - although part of me was set on 9.5 I again went for the 9s. Again, they are snug but fully expect them to soon feel just as comfortable as the previous pair. Will update if not but for now I can see no reason why I should send them back and spend hours trying to pay more. If you're looking - and managed to stay awake though this ramble - I would say these are fantastic value. They might not last ten years but then the last supposedly ten year pair I bought didn't either. But as I said at the beginning: I am no expert. Your feet may disagree. Good luck in your hunt!
Comfort Boots, 06 January 2017

Bought a pair of these three years ago. So impressed by the immediate comfortable fit without any breaking in I bought a second pair. Kept one at home and one in the caravan at Devil's Bridge. Caravan pair totally worn after three hard seasons so replaced. Will probably buy a fourth "spare" pair to replace the home pair when that goes.
Never understood the other two reviews complaining of leaks. I've brushed the dirt off and Nicwaxed one or twice a year and had no problem despite the worst the Cambrians could throw up in rain, flooded fords and unexpected bogs. Stayed watertight throughout including a couple of total imersions.
My best buy from GoOutdoors.
Not waterproof, 04 November 2016

Used these boots three times and after a shortish hike partly through wet grass, I had damp feet.
OK in the dry, otherwise don't waste your money because they are poorly constructed.
