A woman has managed an unusual mountaineering feat after she managed to climb to the summit of Ben Nevis ... in a bikini.
Jolene Clark, a 24-year-old hairdresser from Dundee, completed the climb of the 4,408 ft peak on Saturday (July 31st) and is believed to be the first person to have managed to reach Britain's highest point in such inappropriate attire for cold mountain conditions.
She made the climb with her brother Andrew to raise money for a cystic fibrosis unit at the Ninewells hospital in her home city, after younger brother Stuart died from the disease last year.
She said: "Everything went to plan. It was just amazing, even though we battled chilly temperatures, drizzly rain and wind."
Ladies wishing to climb mountains and feel rather more comfortable than Jolene Clark did may wish to invest in some women's outdoor clothing
Ben Nevis is frequently climbed in summer for charity as part of the National Three Peaks Challenge and organisers advise those climbing the mountains to wear items like a windproof jacket, thermals and walking trousers
