Lacing up one's walking boots
and heading out into unfamiliar places is the best way to discover the various secrets that they hold.
Travel writer Cristina wrote in an article for BootsnAll that walking gives people the chance to savour different things at their own pace, such as smelling roses and other things.
"Whenever I can, I put on my walking shoes
and plan a walking route; this happens both when I am at home and when I travel," she stated.
Whether at home or abroad, heading out with one's walking equipment
is a good way to discover new areas and do so without spending a lot of money.
The writer added that walking also helps to maintain a person's fitness levels.
Those living in Dorset who want to experience the thrills of walking and hiking in the countryside can join the Dorset Young Walkers group, which is seeking new members aged between 20 and 40, the Dorset Echo reported.
