Ramblers who are keen to get their walking boots
and waterproof jackets
out this spring might enjoy attending the upcoming Keswick Mountain Festival
Commencing on May 16th, the five-day event allows walkers to take in many of the Lake District's remarkable paths and viewpoints.
"Whether it's scrambling up Sharp Edge or strolling around Derwent Water, there's something for visitors of all ages and abilities to enjoy," said Kate Thomas, director of the festival
She noted that the event has been designed to encompass the widest possible range of locations, which means visitors will have plenty of chances to see the region's remarkable scenery.
This includes lakes and fells that Ms Thomas believes are among the most "amazing" in the whole country.
She added that the range of walks on offer at this year's Keswick Mountain Festival
Ramblers who attend the festival
will also be given the chance to sample some local food and drink and purchase equipment on an array of stalls.
