The trailer for the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival has been launched on the event's website.
Made by Alastair Lee of Posing Productions, it shows footage of extreme sport action involving climbing, skiing, mountain biking and white water activities.
The trailer advertised the fact that between March 12th and 14th, a series of films will be shown at the Showroom Cinema on Paternoster Row in the city centre, with prices for individual films £5 or £6.
In addition to this, there will be free viewings of the On The Edge series of short films at the Cafe Euro on nearby John Street.
Those inspired by the event may wish to invest in some skiwear
, mountain bike
gear or climbing equipment
to have their own adventures, with the Go Outdoors store in the city just a few streets away.
Other forthcoming film festivals that may whet the appetite include the Banff Mountain Film Festival, which is touring the UK.
During February it will be taking place in London, Brighton, Keswick, Manchester and Leeds.
