Those who like to go walking
in Snowdonia may find they run into plenty of people from overseas in the near future.
VisitBritain has included images of the mountain range in its latest tourist campaign, An Invite from the Stars, which features audio footage of famous Britons extolling the wonders of the UK, Wales Online reports.
But while some may be enticed by the likes of Dame Judi Dench, Jamie Oliver and Twiggy to pay a visit, it could be those bringing hiking boots
are keen to enjoy the delights of Snowdon, Carnedd Llewellyn and Tryfan.
The adverts will be on shown on BBC World News in Europe and on BBC America, bringing the wonders of Wales to a potentially new audience.
Walkers in Snowdonia may want to take on the 3,000 peaks challenge, which involves attempting to scale all 14 summits over 3,000 ft in height inside 24 hours.
The list is sometimes stated as 15 with the inclusion of Garnedd Ugain, a minor summit on the Carneddau Ridge.
