Those keen on getting some new skiwear
for the coming wintersports season may have their appetite whetted by the Scotland’s Ski, Snowboard and Xtreme Show on October 16th and 17th, run by Ski Scotland.
Held at Glasgow's SECC, the event will include a chance to see Scotland's Freestyle ski jumping championships and check out the latest items the various manufacturers are bringing out.
And for those living in Scotland, the Go Outdoors stores in Clydebank and Coatbridge will offer a chance to buy the latest ski boots
or other gear for the snowy months ahead.
In an email to ski fans about the show, Ski Scotland noted there has already been snowfall at the five Scottish ski resorts.
Wintersports lovers may hope for another season like last, when the unusually cold winter meant more snow than usual.
Ski Scotland described the 2009/10 winter as a "phenomenal" one in which many were able to try downhill routes that normally do not exist.
