Those who could never let their ski boots
get in the way of a bit of romance may wish to pack the champagne and chocolates for a special treat at the Glencoe ski resort.
Instead of speed dating, February 13th will see ski dating, with singles able to don their goggles and hit the slopes with potential partners, before marking a score card when they finish the five minutes with each suitor.
Couples will get to share the T-bar lift and then ski or snowboard together down the Main Basin Run.
And in the T-bar those who have marked up their dates will get the chance to match up and possibly start something more.
The event may encourage some to dress to impress and get some smarter skiwear
before heading to the resort.
Glencoe is not alone in trying to spark some love on the slopes, with the Nevis Range hosting a romantic cocktails evening on February 14th aimed at couples, which will be held in the Snowgoose restaurant 2,200 ft up the mountainside.
