Those hoping to put on their ski boots
and head for the slopes of the Glencoe resort may not have much longer to wait, according to staff at the site.
In its latest email update, the resort noted: "A bit of snow loss has occurred over the week at lower levels but the snow has continued to pile in on the top of the mountain."
The report continued by noting the forecast for the next week or two, which suggests plenty more snow will be on the way, something the resort believes could give it enough snow to get the winter season underway.
In the case of the Glencoe resort, the mountain in question is the 3,615 ft Munro of Meall a' Bhuiridh, with several ski lifts climbing up to near its summit.
Scotland has five ski resorts and three of these are in the Cairngorms national park, leaving Glencoe and the Nevis Range in the west Highlands.
With the latter closed for maintenance until December 18th, Glencoe will offer the only choice for anyone looking to ski in the area over the next month.
