The Nevis Range and Glencoe ski resorts in the west Highlands could be about to open for wintersports.
Glencoe has said it plans to open tomorrow (December 6th), with more snow forecast overnight.
The Nevis Range stated that "with a little more snow we would expect to be able to open for snowsports for the weekend of 8th-9th December".
Those with season tickets at Nevis can now collect them at the resort and if it does open, those heading up in their ski jackets
can expect to enjoy the best conditions around the Goose from Tower Four upwards and at the Summit.
Located on the side of Aonach Mor, the Nevis Range ski tows include one that stretches to the plateau on which the 4,006 ft summit of the mountain stands.
To the east, in the Cairngorms National Park, the CairnGorm Mountain and Lecht resorts have now been open for a few days but Glen Shee remains closed.
