Those who like to go walking
in the Lake District or Peak District and watched the royal wedding in April may not have realised the potential benefit they could receive from the event if they get into trouble on the fells.
Land Rover's gift to William and Kate of one of its vehicles left the prince - who is patron of Mountain Rescue - with the question of which team it should go to.
After the names of the different groups were put in a hat, his brother Prince Harry pulled out Patterdale's name and the vehicle is now being kitted out in north Wales before it is sent up to the Lake District.
This gave the Cumbrian team a vehicle surplus so, in turn, they had their own draw to donate one of their Land Rovers to another team and Glossop will be the benficiaries.
Recent rescues by the Patterdale team include one of a walker on Wainwright's coast to coast route who broke his leg while passing through the area.
