Those planning to go walking
in Kent could use a new book containing information about the pub stops in the region, which has been published to raise money for charity.
Geoff Rambler's Heroic Yomps: Pub Walks in Kent features 27 walks taking in both the countryside and the south of England's breweries, including pubs owned by the Faversham-based Shepherd Neame.
Proceeds from the book will go to the Combat Stress charity, which aids ex-military personnel dealing with mental health issues.
Mr Rambler said: "Travelling by road you can be sure of one thing - you will hurtle past places of interest and outstanding beauty. Follow some of my walks and you will take yourself to places often missed or hidden from view."
Hikers getting on their walking boots
to head to the region could enjoy the Kent Downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is home to village lanes, wooded ridges and chalky footpaths.
