Those who like to go walking
around the English countryside have been provided with a series of guides to help them along - written by postmen and women.
Royal Mail has produced three guides, each by a local postie, with these covering Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Hereford and the Cornish town of Looe.
Hereford delivery man of 25 years Mike Chandler has written his guide on the Golden Valley and the River Dore, in an area just east of the Black Mountains.
Postwoman Hilary Eastley focuses on the river mouth around Looe harbour and the cottage-strewn local scenery, while Newcastle's Barry Cartlidge focuses on the urban scenery of a city walk.
Those keen to get one of these guides may wish to pick up a trekking pole
to help them along as they venture where postmen love to tread.
Visitors to Looe will find a series of enjoyable walks in the area, according to the town's website, with both the coastal path and inland routes featured.
