A Hollywood film starring Charlize Theron and Kirsten Stewart has been carrying out filming on location in a popular part of the Lake District.
Snow White and the Huntsman has had scenes shot around the Langdales and Coniston, with Blea Tarn among the locations sure to be recognised by those who like to go walking
in the area when the flick hits the big screen.
Much of the land is owned by the National Trust and its tenant farmers were involved in helping film crews move their equipment to the spots where scenes were filmed.
Some of these locations had to be sealed off for filming to take place, but walkers can now enjoy the thought that their hiking boots
are treading in the steps of Snow White - and Charlize Theron.
And Blea Tarn was on the route for an upcoming guided walk organised by national park rangers yesterday (October 12th) , which started and ended in nearby Elterwater and also included a hike over nearby Lingmoor Fell, which separates Great Langdale from Little Langdale.
