Those preparing to spend a few exciting days camping in tents at Glastonbury have more than just music to listen to, it has been noted.

Poetry&Words is one of the side venues at the event that those who like a bit of verse can enjoy and organiser Helen Gregory told the festival's website there are plenty of reasons to come and enjoy the readings there.

She said: "Poetry&Words is part of what makes Glastonbury special - more than just another music festival. We have poets to make you laugh, cry and ponder the meaning of life."

Those visiting the event may be keen to ensure they sleep well before hearing poets - and their favourite bands - in action, something cosy sleeping bags should help with.

While many will be keen to see headline acts like U2 and Coldplay, on the Pyramid Stage, those looking around can enjoy the likes of Primal Scream on the "Other" Stage, Fatboy Slim in the Dance Village and former politician Tony Benn speaking in the Green Fields.
