Those who fancy putting on their running gear
and taking part in an organised race may consider the Plymouth Half Marathon.
Kirsty McLatchie from The Plymouth Half Marathon Team noted that the race is a popular one - though also testing as the course is hilly in places - and gained a 100 per cent repeat rating from Runners World Magazine.
She described the route as "scenic" and offering "stunning" views across the Sound at the finish on the Hoe.
"The course has a good reputation and attracts everyone from local, national and international athletes as well as beginners, club runners and charity runners," Ms McLatchie.
She stated that the event typically attracts over 5,000 entrants each year and the 2012 race will be the 19th time it has been held.
The race is scheduled to take place on June 3rd, which could make it wise to invest in footwear suited to running in warm weather.
