A city route in urban Perth has been listed by the Scotsman as its Walk of the Week.
Those living in towns and cities could be inspired to don their outdoor clothing
and take to the streets themselves.
"For lovers of the country, cities are sometimes viewed as a necessary evil … But sometimes there is a solitude and beauty to be found a short way beyond the commerce," the publication explains.
The route allows people to take in an interesting sculpture trail and formal gardens, with the news source stating the majority of the trek simply involves following parkland beside the River Tay.
Those following the course might be wise to take their walking gear
, as the distance covered is approximately four miles.
And a camera might come in useful, as the article explains people will pass land such as Moncreiffe Island, where common seals may be spotted.
The newspaper has previously included a low-level route in the Cairngorms in its Walk of the Week Column.
