People in Dorset are being urged to lace up their walking boots
and take to the great outdoors.
The Dorset Young Walkers group is seeking new members to join its ranks and go on walks across the countryside, the Dorset Echo reports.
Those aged between 20 and 40 who wish to invest in some walking equipment
and discover the great outdoors right on their doorstep are welcome to join.
Many of the walks the group goes on are less than eight miles, meaning a walking pole
and other materials may be needed.
Louise White, a rambler, told the newspaper that the 30 or so existing members are very friendly and newcomers are welcomed with open arms.
"New members can turn up at any walk and can do the first few walks without joining the Ramblers Association and then if people like it they can join and it isn't too pricey," she added.
Dorset offers a wonderful selection of routes for walking enthusiasts to enjoy, including the Dorset Coast Path and the Wessex Ridgeway.
