Individuals who are planning on donning their outdoor clothing and heading to the upcoming Kendal Mountain Festival will be able to see a range of paintings from artist Jamie Hageman.

The 31-year-old will be displaying his photo-realistic works in the Brewery Arts Centre from October 30th to November 21st.

His images depict mountain scenes in Scotland, including a coastal view on the Isle of Sky and the north-east face of Ben Nevis.

Mr Hageman, who may use walking gear during his search for new areas to paint, says he is "often awestruck" when he is recreating the mountains on canvas.

"[I] would like the viewer to feel the same emotions when faced with my work," he added.

Film premieres from around the world will also be taking place at the festival, along with talks from a number of outdoor enthusiasts, such as climbers Dave MacLeod and Steve McClure.
