Rock group Onslaught is set to play at the Bloodstock festival in August, organisers have revealed.
The British thrash metal band has been confirmed in the line-up by the organisers of the event, which takes place from August 13th to 15th at Catton Hall near Derby.
It will be the only British appearance for the band this year, which formed in 1983, spilt up in 1990 and then re-formed in 2005.
Drummer Steve Grice said the event will be the band's first outdoor show in Britain, commenting: "We look forward to bringing some real flesh melting -thrash metal to the guys and gals of Bloodstock. See you all there!"
Snakebite has also been named as a participant, with other groups appearing including Children of Bodom, Twisted Sister and Sonata Antarctica.
Those staying at the festival may wish to pick up camping accessories
such as sleeping bags
to make their stay more comfortable.
Organisers state that there will be a dedicated barbecue area in the camping section, but no gas appliances are allowed.
