Those using the Ramblers online Big Walk Map can now access route cards for treks all over Britain.

In an email to supporters, the charity said it is now possible for those planning to head out in their walking boots anywhere from Lands' End to John O'Groats to get more details, enabling them to plan their adventure.

The Big Walk map includes details on routes across England, Scotland and Wales, obtained by clicking on its green man icons.

Outdoor lovers can try routes such as a visit to the Falls of Glomach - one of Scotland's Highest - in the shadow of the Five Sisters of Kintail, the Anglesey Coastal Path or a climb up Kinder Scout in the Peak District via the Pennine Way.

Those keen on a more urban walk may include residents of Swindon, where the Ramblers and the local council recently joined forces to create a new online database of local walking routes.ADNFCR-2803-ID-801238988-ADNFCR
