New pair of acts for Reading and Leeds Festivals

The Reading and Leeds Festivals may be little over a month away, but two new acts have been unveiled.

One of these is up-and-coming guitar band Young Legionnaire, who have advised fans coming along with their camping equipment to "pack your earplugs" for their performance.

For those who like their West Indian music there will be a twist on Nirvana's hits when Jamaican Little Roy turns up.

A veteran of the genre since recording his first song in 1965, the Kingston-based artist will be performing hits from his Battle for Seattle album, which reworks popular hits from Kurt Cobain and co into a reggae style.

Such acts will join big names like Pulp and Muse, as well as three bands nominated for the latest Mercury Awards - Elbow, Everything Everything and Metronomy.

Campers with early bird tickets can pitch their tents from 18:00 BST on August 24th, with other ticket holders allowed in from the following morning at 08:00 BST.
