Naked rambler jailed again

Stephen Gough - the man known as the Naked Rambler - has been released from prison, only to be sent back inside for walking out of the gates without any clothes on.

Gough has become notorious for his rambles in the outdoors without walking trousers - or any other clothing for that matter - although he always sported walking boots.

In this latest instance, the former Royal Marine left Perth Jail after a 21-month sentence, only to be apprehended again just 60 seconds later and sent down for another 657 days.

The rambler has spent most of his last five years in prison for his persistent refusal to wear clothes, which has included a contempt of court conviction for his failure to be attired when appearing before a judge.

With autumn approaching, now may be a good time to invest in some warmer walking jackets to deal with the cooler and wetter weather.

People planning to go walking over the bank holiday weekend will be blessed with good weather, following heavy rain in some parts of the country at the end of this week.
