Stephen Gough, the so-called naked rambler, has walked free from prison in Perth - minus any clothes.
The former royal marine had been incarcerated for 657 days due to his persistence in wearing nothing but his birthday suit and has been re-arrested many times, not least for leaving prison at the end of his last sentence with nothing on.
However, he has now been allowed to proceed on his way and he may yet make the most of this lucky streak by enjoying another long-distance adventure.
He was originally arrested for indecent exposure when attempting a nude walk from Lands End to John O'Groats.
However, despite eschewing walking trousers
and pretty much everything else, Mr Gough still recognised the value of walking boots
and had these on as he trekked across the country before his arrest.
Now he is able to resume his naturist hikes, Mr Gough may be glad to learn that the Met Office expects the wet summer to finally abate and warm sunshine to return, although this may make the purchase of plenty of suncream necessary.
