A major event in the UK mountain bikes calendar has moved the location of its venue.

The Chain Reaction Cycles MTB Mountain Marathon Series includes a challenge near Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales on July 3rd and 4th, which organisers have now said has had to be moved.

It will now be situated a few miles north of Grassington at the village of Kilnsey, although the actual course itself will remain the same.

Those donning their cycling gear to take part will have a choice of different challenges of various distances, with Malham Tarn and Pen-y-Ghent among the scenic features to be seen along the way.

One of the previous events in the series, at Eastnor on June 19th-20th, saw a couple show such dedication to taking part that their honeymoon was spent in a tent in the Staffordshire countryside.

After being rearranged due to a family illness, the wedding of Nigel and Alison Moore clashed with the event, but she insisted that he should still take part.
