Those wanting to spend some time riding mountain bikes
may not imagine the Norfolk Broads to be an ideal location, but cycling will be one of the activities available in the upcoming inaugural Broads Outdoors Festival
Running from May 7th to 15th, it will show that there is more to the area than just its waterways, with bike riding being one of many activities available in a series of 60 events.
Those bringing hiking boots
will be able to take part in a number of walks and there are also chances to enjoy photography, geocaching and boating.
While the latter activity is the most prominent, head of tourism for the Broads Authority Bruce Hanson noted: "There is so much more to do and we want to show that off as well."
will give people the chance to do things they might not otherwise do and see things they might not otherwise see," he added.
Cyclists and walkers at the festival
will not have too many steep inclines to deal with, as the highest point in the Broads is 12 metres above sea level.
