A survey by Sport England has shown that more people are now cycling.
The body's study revealed that 6.93 million people in the country now cycle at least three times a week.
It said that this amounts to an increase of 112,000 in the past year.
Those keen to join the growing number of people in the saddle may wish to get some cycling gear from their local Go Outdoors store.
British Cycling chief executive Ian Drake said: "We are delighted that cycling is proving so popular and we welcome all newcomers to our sport."
The figures also showed that more people are taking up athletics, which could lead to a rise in demand for
running clothing.
Earlier this month, cyclists were invited to take part in consultations over the future of a route that those living in London, Essex and Hertfordshire may use.
The Lee Valley Regional Park said it is looking to "develop the network of routes, facilities and other infrastructure" to offer something for everyone.
