Those heading to next month's Lounge On The Farm Festival in Kent with their camping equipment may be please to learn organisers are making extra efforts top keep the event tidy.

A statement on the festival website said: "Lounge On The Farm has become so big this year that we've decided to recruit an army of litter-pickers to join our recycling team."

It is offering a complimentary ticket plus one free meal for each of the three six-hour shifts worked at the festival, during which time the workers will help ensure litter levels are kept to a minimum.

Those staying in tents at Hop Farm near Canterbury may be pleased at the prospect of being in a tidy place.

Lounge On The Farm takes place over the weekend of July 8th to 10th and bands featured include Echo and the Bunnymen, Ellie Goulding, Paper Crows, The Streets and Zoo for You.
