Fans heading with their tents to the Leeds and Reading festivals have been reminded that there are certain items they will not be allowed to enter the site with - and anything confiscated this year will not be returned.

Glass bottles and gas canisters are among the items organisers are noting cannot be brought in, stating: "If you should decide to 'just give it a go' and try to smuggle those items into the site, it is most likely that those items will be confiscated!"

The terms and conditions on tickets and the website list the various things people should not try to bring, which also include illegal substances, fireworks, recording equipment, laser pens, flares, Chinese lanterns, air horns, spray cans, smoke bombs and potential weapons.

Fans bringing just the right things and concentrating on the music will be able to enjoy performers like Muse, Elbow, Pulp and Thirty Seconds To Mars.
