Those who love to go walking
in the Lake District may be keen on trying a new route designed and described in a new DVD.
Produced by Compass Films and narrated by writer Mark Richards, the production introduces a new walk called the Westmorland High Way.
The DVD is accompanied by a free guide to the walk and includes a lot of aerial shots to illustrate the landscape.
Mr Richards described the Westmorland High Way as "a great new route with lots of stunning features".
He added: "I hope lots of people who like the Lakes as much as I do buy the DVD and undertake the walk."
Those who go walking
in the Lake District in the colder months of the year could benefit from wearing warm clothing, such as thermal base layers
and winter jackets
Last month, Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team warned those climbing the fells in the winter of the need to wrap up warm, as well as taking a torch in case they are still on the hills when the sun sets on short days.
