The Lake District ski club could be open for skiers soon, one of its members has claimed.
A post made today on the club's Facebook page has noted the weather forecast made from nearby Helvellyn has predicted the first snows of winter are imminent.
It said: "Bernie has just seen the fell top weather forecast snow is on the way keep in touch we could be skiing soon!!!!!"
Should there be occasion to put on ski boots and take to the slopes soon, wintersports fans will be able to make the most of the new toilet facilities that were recently opened.
A plaque above the door to the Powder Room said the work to put it in place was carried out during the "atrocious" summer of 2011.
Other preparations for the ski season have included Scotland's Glencoe resort creating 'hobbit houses' in which four people at a time can bunk down for the night while enjoying the facilities there.
