Those putting on their ski goggles can enjoy plenty of skiing in Scotland just now, but the Lake District Ski Club has issued a reminder that there is plenty to enjoy in England too.

It has issued an email stating the recent cold weather has brought favourable conditions for winter sports, commenting: "There has been some great skiing on Raise over the last weeks with a record number enjoying powder snow on Sunday 5th."

While people should check if this is still the case after milder weather in the past couple of days, it stated there is another cold snap expected in the week, which could enable those wearing ski boots to enjoy the pistes some more before Christmas.

Most of Scotland's ski resorts have been enjoying plenty of action, but one place with less snowfall than other parts of the Highlands has been Glencoe, where precipitation levels have been much lower.

However, it has said it is expecting to open this weekend (December 11th and 12th).
