Dartmoor National Park is one of Britain's most picturesque and atmospheric places and anyone who wants to explore it further is in luck later this month.
Its rangers will be leading a guided walk along the North Moor on September 23rd between 10:00 and 16:00 BST.
As it is such a long ramble, those attending are advised to put on their best walking boots
and appropriate clothing in case of inclement weather.
The walk will start on Prewley Moor and incorporate Sourton Tors, Corn Ridge, Kitty, Dunnagoat, Arms Tor and The King Cross before heading back along the Granite Way.
A packed lunch will be necessary and the cost for adults is just £4 with no booking required.
Prewley Moor is situated on the north-western boundary of Dartmoor National Park just a short distance from the highest point in southern England at Yes Tor and High Willhays.
The Museum of Dartmoor Life is also nearby for walkers who want to stay a little longer and learn more about this fascinating place.
