The tenth Wickerman Festival
will be headlined by veterans of the 1990s Madchester scene James, organisers have announced.
On Friday night (July 22nd) they will be topping the bill on the Summerisle Stage, alongside local band Emma's Imagination and Nathaniel Rateliff, a singer and songwriter from Denver in Colorado, US, which those coming with their camping gear
It will be the only Scottish festival
appearance of 2011 for the band, which formed in 1982 and enjoyed halcyon days in the early 1990s with hits like Sit Down and Sound, as well as a headlining appearance at Glastonbury in 1992.
The Wickerman festival
takes place over two days in Dumries and Galloway, with a bonus for campers that the event's Campsite Mules and Porters will be there to help.
For a small fee for charity, they will assist people in getting their gear from the car park to the campsite and also aid with pitching the tents
