for ladies will be the order of the day on a guided trek in the Lake District that is definitely women only.
Only the fairer sex are allowed on the girls' outing on September 26th to enjoy some of the scenery around Ullswater, including the classic vista from Gowbarrow Park.
Listed on the national park's site as a range led walk, it begins at 10:30 BST at Aira Force car park with a bus ride to Pooley Bridge followed by an eight mile, six hour trek back via Aira Force itself.
Participants are advised to bring "walking equipment" and "appropriate footwear", so outdoor jackets suited to the autumn weather and hiking boots
may be ideal.
While there may be no men present on the early autumn walk, the location of Gowbarrow Park was made very famous by one chap after a visit on a spring day, when William Wordsworth was inspired by the floral carpet to write his daffodils poem.
