The John Peel Tent at Glastonbury will offer an "amazing visual experience" in the form of the set of DJ Shadow on the Friday night, it has been claimed.

Such a comment came from Jim Fox, one of the organisers of the festival, who told the event's website the evening's entertainment will be a highlight of the tent, named after the famous DJ and broadcaster.

He also commented: "The atmosphere is something special at John Peel - the intimacy of the venue makes the audience actually feel part of the show rather than just observers."

Those pitching their tents at the festival may wish to check out the venue and its acts, with Mr Fox saying Noah and the Whale will be another performance there worth seeing.

Other news from recent days about the festival included the publication of details of the Arcadia line-up, which includes the Spider, a full-on display of technology and "white hot visuals", the event's news page stated.
