Halloween may still be some time away, but people in Yorkshire do not need to wait until October before they start enjoying spooky activities.
Anyone who likes the great outdoors and can get to the village of Buckden on September 29th will be able to take part in the Yorkshire Dales National Park Ghost Walk, which begins at 19:00 BST and lasts for two hours.
It is suitable for children and adults alike, although booking is essential and participants must bring a torch to light their way as well as their walking boots
The guided walk will take hikers through an ancient Dales woodland and provide spine-chilling tales of intrigue and mystery as it progresses, so it is sure to be a lot of fun.
Buckden lies close to a disused lead mine, a Roman road and even Corpse Way - used by the Vikings as a funereal trail to take dead people to the afterlife - so it could be that there are plenty of ghosts around to spot.
