Those who like to take their fishing rods
to the Lake District may wish to heed a reminder from the national park authority that time is running out to have a say in the future of England's largest lake.
It has stated there is a July 15th deadline for anyone wishing to join the Windermere Lake User Forum and the body said one of the groups it wants to see represented on it is the angling community.
Those who are interested have been urged to contact the national park's catchment projects coordinator Rebecca Cathey.
She said: "We've had some interest already but I hope that now we only have two weeks left to the closing date people will be encouraged to contact us to find out more."
As well as being the longest lake at 10.5 miles, Windermere is also England's second deepest behind Wast Water and contains 289,000,000,000 gallons of water.
