Fans heading with their camping gear
to summer music festivals
should make sure they have made good practical plans, an expert has said.
A spokesman for Summerfestivalguide.co.uk said important measures include booking travel tickets well in advance and trying to pitch tents
near landmarks to make them easier to find among the thousands present at large events.
Similarly, obvious landmarks should be used as meeting points with friends.
He also advised: "Enjoy yourself, explore the festival
grounds, check out different types of music you would never usually see."
By embracing everything festivals
have to offer, people may make new friends and even find a soulmate, the official suggested.
Most of the summer festivals
for 2011 have come and gone, but V is this coming weekend and the Leeds and Reading Festivals take place over the bank holiday of August 26th to 28th.
Fans heading to the Yorkshire or Berkshire venues next week will be able to enjoy bands like Pulp, Muse and Elbow.
