Those buying a new calendar focused on the Lake District will be able to benefit from their purchase when they go walking
in the region.
Proceeds from the sales of the 2011 Wainwright Society calendar - out this month - will go to Mountain Rescue in Cumbria, Grough reports.
Such funding could help any users of Ordnance Survey maps
who might run into trouble while on the fells.
The body used money from its 2010 calendar sales to help the Fix the Fells project, which aims to improve footpaths in the Lake District.
Calendars can be bought from the Wainwright Society website as well as at locations in the Lake District, such as the Ullswater Steamers centre in Glenridding and Dalegarth Station on the Ravengalss-Eskdale Railway route.
The Lake District teams are not the only branches of Mountain Rescue to get a little extra help.
Last month, the 75th anniversary of the formation of Cave Rescue was marked by the launch of the Rescewe brew by Dent Brewery in the Yorkshire Dales, with a donation to the service being made for every pint or bottle sold.
