The author of a book on one of the Lake District's most famous fell runners is to give a live talk about his publication and its subject.
Keith Richardson will be appearing at the Theatre by the Lake in Keswick on March 12th to talk about Joss, his biography on champion runner the late Joss Naylor.
The writer, who was the winner of the 2009 Lakeland Book of the Year award for Iwer Sen, will appear at 21:00 GMT and entry is £8.
People attending the event may be inspired by Joss Naylor's example to take up the sport and buy some running clothing
A shepherd by profession, Joss Naylor spent large periods of time on the fells and when speaking to author Hunter Davies during the writing of the latter's book, A Walk in the Lakes, he said that he would get by on water and a Mars bar during the daytime.
Many of the Naylor family are buried in the churchyard at Wasdale Head, in the area he farmed.
