Former England cricketer Darren Gough has revealed that he and his family are big fans of sleeping in tents
and even if they are not exploring the great outdoors, they like to pitch it up and stay in it for the night.
Speaking to the Star, the 40-year-old said he enjoys new challenges and revealed how much fun he had taking part in a wall climbing activity recently.
However, he said that people do not have to engage in anything too strenuous to have a good time outdoors and that he and his family pitch their tents
and camp out in the garden from time to time.
"We've got a tent
at home and even if we don't use it for holidays, we put it up in the garden and camp out once a year. Even that has to be better than just watching TV or playing a video game," Gough told the newspaper.
A recent study by Play England and Savlon found that many parents in the UK are concerned at how little time their children spend outside.
